Hi, I'm Jane, one of the health coaches at Robinhood Integrative Health. I am a “live to eat” type of person. Never in my life have I forgotten to eat! Like many of you, I've had my own personal health struggles: anxiety, weight gain, prediabetic, cystic acne, hormonal imbalance and very low energy to name a few. I was on the “Monday-Thursday restrict myself diet” and then went off the rails over the weekend. It was a cycle of eat less exercise more followed by a “drink lots of wine and eat lots of pizza over the weekend diet”.
After the birth of my third son, that way of life STOPPED working. I became a patient of RIH and discovered my thyroid function was very low and I was highly sensitive to my beloved bread. Pandora's Box flung open as I received my certification at Institute of Integrative Nutrition to become a holistic health coach.
Since then, my hunger to learn more about diet and lifestyle continues. I will forever be a student! My specific interest is women in my stage of life: how hormones impact weight loss, why what we used to do no longer works, and simple strategies to incorporate self-care practices in daily life that take little time with our already hectic schedules.
